GNWL vs Other Quotas

GNWL (General Waiting List) tickets are issued when you travel from the origin station. They have the highest priority during chart preparation. PQWL and RLWL tickets have lower priority because they are assigned to smaller intermediate stops.

Automatic Online Refunds

If you booked a ticket via IRCTC web/app and its final status remains WL after chart preparation, the ticket drops automatically. Your money is credited back to your original payment account within 3 to 5 working days.
