Why These Guides Exist
Most railway advice online is copied from other railway advice online, and it ages badly. Chart preparation moved from four hours before departure to eight in July 2025 and to ten in December 2025, yet the four-hour figure is still repeated almost everywhere — which means people check for last-minute berths six hours after the good ones have gone.
These guides are written against the current rules and dated, so you can see when each was last reviewed. Where Indian Railways publishes something itself — the actual reservation chart, live running status — we link you to the official source rather than pretending to replace it.
If you find something here that is out of date or wrong, tell us and it gets corrected.
